Our next and final meeting of the semester will take place on Wednesday, April 22nd, at 7pm in Greg Hall Room 319. We are going to be playing end of the year Jeopardy with a wide range of categories including the First Family, political scandals, the best political quotes of ‘08, and more. The winner will be receiving a prize at the end of the meeting, so make sure to sharpen up on your political trivia!
For those of you who are interested in applying for a position for next years exec board, I’ve added a description of each board position’s responsibilities. Remember, the applications, along with a resume, are due by
midnight this Friday, April 17th!! I’ve attached the application form is to this email as well. You can turn in your application either via email to
pscuiuc@gmail.com, or at the happy hour on Friday. Interviews for board positions will be held the weekend of April 24-26th.
Vice-President: Assisting in the execution of the duties of the President and other members of the Board and presiding over meetings in the President’s absence.
Treasurer: Supervising and keeping an accurate record of the PSC’s funds, setting up and maintaining a bank account, and communicating the budget to the Board.
Public Relations Chair: Spreading awareness of the PSC, connecting with other RSOs, Professors, and other outside professionals or organizations in order to organize informational events for the PSC. Planning and organizing social and fundraising events for the PSC.
Secretary: Keeping an accurate record of membership information, minutes from general meetings, and collecting membership dues. Initiates outreach to potential members.
IT Chair: Designing and maintaining a website for the PSC. Manages technical needs beyond the website.
Also, this Thursday and Friday PSC will be doing a fundraiser through Qdoba. All you have to do for the club to raise money is print off the attached flyer and turn it in with the purchase of an entree and drink anytime on Thurs or Fri. There’s no limit to the amount of flyers that we can turn in, so please print off as many as you can, spread the word, and encourage your friends to go to Qdoba.
We will be having our very last happy hour this Friday, the 17th, 5pm at Murphy’s, so I hope that everyone can make it!

This Wednesday, April 8th, our meeting will be held at 7pm in Room 123 Armory (which is located right inside the North-West entry doors). We’re going to be focusing on international issues spreading from foreign policy in general, to President Obama’s trip to Europe and Asia, and how American diplomacy has changed so far since Obama has taken office.
The next club meeting won’t be until next week, but this Friday (the 3rd) at 5pm we will be having happy hour at Murphy’s, so come out and grab a bite with the club!
